Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for establishing human mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord blood is provided to easily obtain mesenchymal stem cells which are not easy to obtain and differentiate the mesenchymal stem cells to osteoblasts, chondrocytes, and adipocytes. CONSTITUTION: A human mesenchymal stem cell is derived from human umbilical cord blood. In order for obtaining the mesenchymal stem cell from the umbilical cord blood, the culture medium is different. A culture medium for primary cell culture is a culture medium of forming colony of endothelial stem cells. Mesenchymal stem cells from the primary culture are established by using culture medium for mesenchymal stem cells.
