Abstract: PURPOSE: A fluorescent compound is provided to ensure excellent photophysical and photochemical properties such as full color tunable emissive property, absolute quantum yields, resistance to photobleaching, storke shifts, and lipophilicity. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent compound has a structure of chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the fluorescent compound comprises the steps of: (a) reacting a compound containing an aminoethyl group having R1 and R2 substitution groups with α,β-unsaturated aldehyde having R2 substitution group by reductive amination to prepare a secondary amine compound; (b) performing acylation of the secondary amine compound using acyl halide; and (c) treating the acylated compound with pyridine having R4, R5, R6 and R7 substitution groups and performing cyclization and oxidative aromatization of crude product.
