Abstract: Provided is a method for preparing a nanoporous polymer by using a reverse microemulsion polymerization system without using a template. The method comprises the step of preparing a nanoporous polymer having a size from several nanometers to several tens nanometers by using a reverse microemulsion polymerization system. Preferably the method uses a micelle formed from a surfactant by using a reverse microemulsion system is used as a medium for forming a nanopore. The size of a nanoporous polymer is controlled by changing a surfactant/monomer ratio. Preferably the method comprises the steps of adding a surfactant to a monomer at 0-100 deg.C to form a micelle; adding a polymerization initiator to the monomer solution to stabilizer it; and heating the solution to polymerize the monomer in the outside of the micelle to allow the micelle to be contained in the polymer, thereby preparing a nanoporous polymer.
