Abstract: A composition for diagnosing diabetes is provided to diagnose the diabetes quickly and accurately by providing a Glutathione peroxidase 3 gene and a protein as a useful marker for the diabetes. A composition for diagnosing diabetes includes a material measuring a level of a Glutathione peroxidase 3 gene or a Glutathione peroxidase 3 protein. The material measuring a level of a Glutathione peroxidase 3 gene is a sense and an antisense primers complementary to an mRNA of a GPx3 gene. The material measuring a level of a Glutathione peroxidase 3 protein is an antibody specifically recognizing clearly the GPx3 protein or a functional fragment of the antibody. The antibody is a multi-clonal antibody specifically recognizing the GPx3 protein. The composition for diagnosing diabetes additionally includes the second antibody in which a cover is combined in the multi-clonal antibody. The cover is a biotin.
