    Abstract: A transformed tobacco plant having improved DNA repair is provided to act for plastid DNA repair and repair DNA damage generated by mutation inducing condition. A recombinant plant expression vector pCAMBIA-TP-recA comprises an recA gene which is derived from an E.coli. The recA gene comprises a sequence of the sequnecnce number 1 (SEQ ID NO:1) The recA gene comprises 70% of homology with the sequence of the sequence number 1. The DNA damage is repaired the recombinant plant expression vector (pCAMBIA-TP-recA). A mutation inducing condition is to irradiating UV(ultraviolet)-C or treating with 100-300mg/l of MMS (Methyl methanesulfonate).
