    Abstract: A crosslinked polystyrene support, a method for preparing the support, a solid state oxidizing agent containing the support, and a method for increasing the oxidation power by using the support are provided to improve the oxidation velocity in the oxidation of an alcohol into a ketone or an aldehyde. A crosslinked polystyrene support is combined with 2-iodobenzamide and is represented by the formula I, wherein P is a linear -(CH2)n-; n is an integer of 0-5; Q is a linear or branched -(CH2)m-; m is an integer of 0-10; and XPS represents a crosslinked polystyrene. Preferably the polystyrene is crosslinked by using 0.1-5 mol% of a multifunctional crosslinking agent. Preferably the multifunctional crosslinking agent is divinyl benzene.

    Abstract: A solid oxidizing agent is provided to increase the reaction rate when oxidizing the alcohol having long alkyl chain difficult to oxidize and the alcohol having low reaction rate, and to be selectively used for alcohol oxidation reaction without the influence on a functional group. A method for preparing porous crosslinked polystyrene supporter of the formula (I) bonded with 2-iodoxybenzamide comprises (i) a step for bonding 2-iodoxybenzamide to the porous cross-linking polystyrene supporter by reacting 2-iodobenzoic acid with porous crosslinked polystyrene resin induced with linear C1-5 alkylamino group or amine group; and (ii) a step of oxidizing 2-iodoxybenzamide bonded to the polystyrene resin. In the chemical formula (I), P is linear (CH2)n, wherein n is an integer of 0-5; Q is linear or branched (CH2)m, wherein m is an integer of 1-10; and MPS shows macroporous crosslinked polystyrene.
