Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are an amorphous lithium sulfate solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity and superior electrochemical properties, and a producing method thereof. CONSTITUTION: The amorphous lithium sulfate solid electrolyte is produced by the method comprising the steps of: (a) performing primary heat treatment of lithium sulfate powders at a temperature of 200-500 deg.C for 3-6 hours, followed by secondary heat treatment at a temperature of 550-700 deg.C for 5-24 hours; (b) uniaxially press molding the resultant under a pressure of 0.8 to 2.7 ton/cm¬2 after heat-treatments in step (a); and (c) sintering the obtained molded product at a temperature of 550-700 deg.C for 5 to 24 hours to form a target for the electrolyte; and (d) sputtering the obtained target to deposit a thin lithium sulfate-based solid electrolytic membrane.
