    Abstract: PURPOSE: An in vivo calibration method and system for subcutaneous amperometric glucose sensors which enables two-point calibration with single blood glucose measurement based on direct measurement of background current using a non-enzyme are provided, thereby accomplishing both convenience of one-point calibration and accuracy of two-point calibration. CONSTITUTION: The in vivo calibration system for subcutaneous amperometric glucose sensors which enables two-point calibration with single blood glucose measurement based on direct measurement of background current comprises two electrodes consisting of an enzyme electrode and a non-enzyme electrode, wherein both the enzyme electrode and non-enzyme electrode are for subcutaneous transplantation; the blood glucose sensor system is a telemetry system; the enzyme electrode and non-enzyme electrode are connected together by multichannel-potentiostat; and the enzyme electrode and non-enzyme electrode are integrated by MEMS(microelectromechanical system). The in vivo calibration method for subcutaneous amperometric glucose sensors comprises measuring the background current by the non-enzyme electrode, so that it enables two-point calibration with single blood glucose measurement without introduction of additional glucose from the outside.
