CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating collagen from Stichopus japonicus Orange comprises: a step of treating washed Stichopus japonicus Orange with a basic solution to remove non-collagenic proteins; a step of centrifuging and collecting alkali-treated residue; and a step of treating an acidic solution. The basic solution contains sodium hydroxide(NaOH), potassium hydroxide(Ca(OH)_2), magnesium hydroxide(Mg(OH)_2), or mixture thereof. The acidic solution includes citric acid, acetic acid, ascorbic acid, or mixture thereof.
