Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is an oil/water separator for emulsion type waste mixture from coke oven gas(COG) pipe line of which efficiency can be improved by controlling the temperature of waste mixture using steam heater. CONSTITUTION: The oil/water separator comprises a storage tank(10) which stores emulsion type waste mixture(11) from COG pipe line; a pump(12) and a transfer pipe(13); a primary oil/water separator(20) which separates oil/water by difference of specific gravity; discharge pipe lines(23,24) for separated water and oil; storage tanks(30,40) for separated oil and separated water; a belt oil skimmer(25) which transfers oil into the storage tank for separated oil through discharge pipe line for separated oil; an overflow discharge pipe(28); a secondary oil/water separator of filler pack type(50) which transfers separated oil and water into each storage tank. Steam heaters(26,36,63) are installed at the first oil/water separator, separated oil storage tank and the pretreatment tank(53) of the secondary oil/water separator and control the temperature of separated water with 40-60 deg.C by control unit(80).

CONSTITUTION: An emulsion phase mixture(11) containing wet and impurities is collected in a reservoir(10). The first steam-heating type water/oil separating vessel(20) is connected to the reservoir(10). An oil removing apparatus(25) for separating waste oil from condensing water is attached to the steam-heating type water/oil separating vessel(20). The second steam-heating type water/oil separating vessel(50) is connected to a steam-heating type oil reservoir(30) which stores waste oil. An air pump(60) for conveying high pressurized oil is installed in the steam-heating type oil reservoir(30). The air pump(60) is connected to a cokes oven gas range(61) through an oil receiving nozzle formed on an air pipe of a COG gas supplying line.
