Abstract: PURPOSE: A thermal spray coating composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to easily apply the composition to an object, and to secure the excellent acid resistance, and environment-friendly property. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a thermal spray coating composition using oyster shells comprises the following steps: washing the oyster shells, plasticizing, and crushing to form oyster shell powder; dipping the oyster shell powder to silica sol with the solid component content of 10~30wt% of to absorb-coating silica to the oyster shell powder, and drying; and mixing the oyster shell powder with metal zinc, phosphoric acid, and thermoplastic powder.
