Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for coating heparin on the surface of a stent is provided to improve the stability heparin on the surface of a stent based on the chemical bond of dopamine and the heparin. CONSTITUTION: A method for coating heparin on the surface of a stent includes the following: heparin and dopamine are synthesized, and a solution with the dissolved synthesized product is prepared; and the solution is applied on the surface of a metal-based stent such that the heparin is coated on the surface of the stent. The molar ratio of the heparin and the dopamine is 1:1.2-1.5. The coating process is based on an immersing process or a spraying process. The stent is immersed in the synthesized product dissolved solution, or the synthesized product dissolved solution is sprayed on the stent.
