Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel red fluorescent protein variant, as a new reporter and detection probe, of which stable but quick and strong fluorescence is induced, and more specifically, to a red fluorescent protein which is formed by adding amino acid Ser, Lys or Pro-Ile-Val at the N-end of a wild-type DsRed2 gene.
