    Abstract: Tripodal amino oxazoline compounds are provided to improve selectivity and binding intensity to ammonium ion, thereby being useful as a recognition material of cations and quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing cations. Tripodal amino oxazoline compounds represented by the formula(1) are useful as recognition material of cations and prepared by reacting compounds represented by the formula(3) with L-valinol, L-phenylglycinol or L-alaninol to prepare compounds represented by the formula(2), and performing cyclization of the compounds represented by the formula(2) with base and a leaving group, wherein R is hydrogen, methyl group or ethyl group; R1 is hydrogen; R2 is methyl group, isopropyl group or phenyl group, the base is sodium hydroxide, and the leaving group is tosyl chloride.
