Abstract: PURPOSE: An active vibration reducing method of a crosspiece structure and a device using the same are provided to reduce the vibration of a structure since control force is indirectly transferred to the structure using a cable connected to the structure. CONSTITUTION: An active vibration reducing method of a crosspiece structure comprises next steps. A tension cable is connected to the crosspiece structure and tensile force is applied to the tension cable using a heavy member. Physical information relating to the vibration of the crosspiece structure is obtained from the crosspiece structure. Control force for reducing the vibration of the crosspiece structure is calculated from the physical information. The tensile force of the tension cable is controlled according to the control force.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for reducing vibration of a slender structure are provided to absorb the vibration in a slender structure through a collision between a steel body and a wall body. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing vibration of a slender structure comprises a steel body(22), a vessel(21), and a shock absorbing member. The vessel is installed in a slender structure(10) and accepts the steel body. The vessel has a wall body(23) for restricting the moving area of the steel body, and multiple spaces. The shock absorbing member is made of a rubber material and is formed between the steel body and the wall body.
