Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for providing location tracking service information using a mobile fingerprint recognition terminal and a method thereof are provided to input a fingerprint of a user at a fixed time interval, thereby authenticating the user. CONSTITUTION: A location tracking service server(200) requests fingerprint input to a portable terminal(100) at a fixed time interval. The portable terminal authenticates a user using an inputted fingerprint image. The portable terminal transmits a user authentication result to the location tracking service server. Abstract: 본 발명은 지문인식 기능을 갖는 휴대 단말기, 위치추적 서비스를 제공하는 위치추적 서비스 서버, 및 상기 휴대 단말기를 사용하는 사용자의 인증 정보를 필요로 하는 요청 단말기를 포함하는 위치추적 서비스 정보 제공 시스템 및 이를 이용한 위치추적 서비스 정보 제공방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 지문인식 휴대 단말기를 이용한 위치추적 서비스 정보 제공 방법은 위치추적 서비스 서버에서 휴대 단말기에 대한 위치추적이 시작되면 상기 휴대 단말기에 일정시간 간격으로 지문 입력을 요청하는 제 1 단계; 상기 휴대 단말기에서 사용자의 지문 이미지를 입력받는 제 2 단계; 상기 휴대 단말기에서 상기 입력된 지문 이미지를 이용하여 사용자 인증을 하는 제 3 단계; 상기 휴대 단말기에서 상기 사용자 인증 결과를 상기 위치추적 서비스 서버에 전송하는 제 4 단계; 상기 위치추적 서비스 서버에서 상기 사용자 인증 결과를 위치 정보 데이터와 함께 상기 요청 단말기에 전송하는 제 5 단계를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따른 위치추적 서비스 정보 제공 방법 및 시스템은 사용자가 휴대 단말기에 일정시간 간격으로 지문을 입력하여 인증하는 구성을 포함하므로, 휴대 단말기 사용자의 위치를 추적할 수 있음과 동시에 사용자가 휴대 단말기를 소지 하고 있음을 확인할 수 있어서, 사용자의 위치추적에 대한 신뢰도를 향상시킬 수 있다.
