Abstract: 본 발명은 아디포넥틴을 유효성분으로 포함하는 안(eye) 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서 유효성분으로 이용되는 아디포넥틴은 눈물생성을 촉진시키고, 각막표면의 불규칙성을 완화시키며, 안구표면 및 눈물샘에서 염증성 사이토카인을 감소시킬 뿐 아니라 결막 술잔세포의 수를 증가시킴으로써 궁극적으로 안구건조증, 염증성 안질환 및 콘택트렌즈 사용에 기인한 눈의 부작용과 같은 안질환에 대해 예방 또는 치료 활성을 나타낸다. 또한, 본 발명의 조성물은 콘택트렌즈 착용에 기인한 비 세균성 염증 및 안 접촉 윤활 활성을 갖는 세정제 및 윤활제로서 이용될 수 있다.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating eye diseases containing adiponectin as an active ingredient. The adiponectin used as the active ingredient for the present invention promotes the generation of tears, smoothens the unevenness on the surface of the cornea, reduces the inflammatory cytokine from the surface of the eyeball and the lachrymal gland, and increases the number of goblet cells of the conjunctiva for ultimately preventing and treating eye diseases including xerophthalmia, inflammatory eye diseases, and side effects of eyes caused by contact lenses. The composition of the present invention can be used as a cleaning agent or a lubricating agent with lubricating activity for the abacterial inflammation and eye contact caused by the contact lenses.
