Abstract: 방송 데이터 전송 시스템이 제공된다. 상기 방송 데이터 전송 시스템은 복수의 전송 안테나 및 복수의 수신 안테나를 이용하여 방송 데이터를 전송한다. 방송 데이터 전송 시스템에 포함된 방송 데이터 전송 장치는 각 전송 안테나에 대한 변조 기법을 상이하게 결정하고, 결정된 변조 기법에 따라 각 데이터 스트림에 대한 전송 전력을 상이하게 결정하고, 프리코딩 벡터를 상이하게 결정할 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A transmission device for a hierarchically modulated signal and a method thereof are provided to improve the reception performance of a second layer signal by applying a phase rotation technology to the second layer signal. CONSTITUTION: A terrestrial-digital multimedia broadcast (T-DMB) transmitter comprises a basic layer symbol generator (110), a hierarchical modulator (134), and an enhanced layer symbol generator (140). The basic layer symbol generator generates a first layer signal. The enhanced layer symbol generator generates the second layer signal including other signal power and is synchronized with the first layer signal. The layer modulator modulates the first layer signal and the second layer signal. The enhanced layer symbol generator executes phase rotation formed by the second layer signal.
