Abstract: A liquid crystal display doped with carbon nanotubes is provided to reduce a residual direct current and improve response time of liquid crystal by forming no clusters in carbon nanotubes. A content of carbon nanotubes dispersed in a horizontally or vertically aligned liquid crystal display is below 0.01 wt%. The length of multi-layered carbon nanotubes is below 250 nm. The thickness of multi-layered carbon nanotubes is below 8 nm. Horizontal alignment films(3-a,3-b) are coated on an upper substrate(2-a) and a lower substrate(2-b). The horizontal alignment films are rubbed in the same direction. Liquid crystal particles(5) are regularly horizontally arranged between the upper substrate and the lower substrate in the rubbing direction. Carbon nanotube particles(4) are arranged in parallel with and in the same direction as the liquid crystal particles.
