    Abstract: PURPOSE: An optically-isotropic (Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to reduce driving voltage thereof and have high transmittance rate. CONSTITUTION: An optically-isotropic (Liquid Crystal Display) device comprises: a lower substrate(100) which includes a pixel electrode and a common electrode which are distanced from each other; an upper substrate(200) which faces the lower substrate; a liquid crystal layer(300) which is placed between the upper and lower substrates and is switched into an anisotropic state when an electric field is applied during the absence of the electric field in an isotropic state; and a polarizing plate(400) which crosses the upper and lower substrates.
