Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device for protecting privacy is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost, and simplify the manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal layer(14) is located at the lower part of an upper plate. A lower plate(13) is located at the lower part of the liquid crystal layer. A lower polarizing plate(12) is placed at the lower part of the lower plate. The liquid crystal layer is driven with perpendicularity or the horizontal electrical field.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A viewing angle controllable liquid crystal display device is provided to minimize an additional process for controlling a viewing angle. CONSTITUTION: A second pixel electrode(13) is located on a second common electrode. The second pixel electrode has a lattice form. Two pairs of switching elements(100,200) are formed on the intersections of one data line and two gate lines. An upper plate is arranged in order to face a lower plate. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the lower plate and the upper plate.
