Abstract: PURPOSE: A light emitting diode with high luminous efficiency and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve luminous efficiency by simultaneously implementing a surface Plasmon resonance and reducing layer defects in an LED structure. CONSTITUTION: A porous region(104) is formed on the upper side of a first conductive semiconductor layer(102). A metal layer(105) is formed on the first conductive semiconductor layer with the porous region. A re-growth layer(106) of the first conductive semiconductor is formed on the metal layer. An active layer(107) is formed on the re-growth layer of the first conductive semiconductor. A second conductive semiconductor layer(108) is formed on the active layer.

Abstract: A fringe in-plane field switching liquid crystal display is provided to apply a liquid crystal display having optical isotropy to an FIS mode, thereby obtaining very superior viewing angle properties. A transparent common electrode(4) is formed in a flat type on a lower plate by using a transparent glass substrate or a plastic substrate. Data lines(1,1') and a source/drain layers(2,2') are formed on a gate line(3) in pair to apply voltages having different polarity between two separated pixel electrodes. An insulating film(5) is formed on a common electrode. Slit patterns are crossly formed on the first and second transparent pixel electrodes(6,7). Widths of the first and second pixel electrodes having slit patterns are thinner than 10 micro meter. A gap(8) between the first and second pixel electrodes is narrower than 30 micro meter.
