    Abstract: PURPOSE: A PMN-PT(Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3) optical waveguide using a thermal diffusion method and a fabricating method thereof provided to simplify a fabrication process by diffusing a metal layer on a PMN-PT single crystal. CONSTITUTION: A metal layer(22) is deposited on a PMN-PT substrate(21). A photoresist layer(23) is formed on the metal layer. The photoresist layer is hardened by using an oven. A photoresist layer pattern(23a) is formed by exposing and developing the photoresist layer. A waveguide pattern(22a) is formed by etching the metal layer. The photoresist layer pattern is removed by using acetone or a photoresist stripper. An optical waveguide(10) is formed within a furnace.
