Abstract: PURPOSE: A multicast routing and multicasting method and a network system for setting a path by using state information of each node are provided to reduce control overhead by setting a path transceiving a control message. CONSTITUTION: Path setup packets are transmitted to a plurality of nodes(S210). Path setting packets are allocated in a destination node. A first path setup acknowledgement packet and a second path establishment call back packet are received(S220-S280). The first path setting call back packet comprises the information of the main route. The second path establishment call back packet comprises the information of the alternative route.
