Abstract: PURPOSE: A state recognition method based on a low power which uses a sensing pattern is provided to simplify condition representation by applying abstraction of an input symbol and to reduce the complexity of a sensing pattern process algorithm. CONSTITUTION: Each sensing value is periodically sampled. Input symbols expressed as each sensing value are redefined within a permitted limit of predetermined time error. In case a change pattern of the input symbol satisfies predetermined conditions, a defined condition is generated.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a smartphone-based context-aware system and, more specifically, to a method for supporting a mobile healthcare service, an eco-friendly energy saving service, and a smart appliance connection service, based on a smartphone and a smart gateway. To this end, the smartphone-based context-aware system of the present invention includes: a smart gateway which performs authentication using personal information stored in a smartphone; a first device which communicates with the smart gateway, performs SEP 2x-based ZigBee communication and, when the smartphone is registered in the smart gateway, converts outgo mode into room mode and receives power from a power supply unit to be operated; a second device which performs ISO/IEEE-based Bluetooth communication with the smart gateway and provides the smart gateway with the measured biometric information of a user; and a third device which performs 802.11ac communication with the smart gateway and provides different content according to the authenticated smartphone.
