Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for estimating load in a drum laundry is provided to estimate the amount of laundry by estimating the inertia moment of laundry. CONSTITUTION: A method for estimating load in a drum laundry comprises the steps of: generating an inertia moment of the laundry of a drum through the centrifugal force generated when driving an electric motor; calculating the rotational speed for making inertial moment of laundry of the drum uniform which has a constant inertia moment of the laundry(S91); estimating the inertia moment of the laundry by using the mechanical equation of a motor(S93); and estimating the mount of the laundry by using the estimated inertia moment(S95).
