Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for a news service customized to public transportation fit to favor of a user riding on a public transportation are provided to enable the service user using the public transportation to receive news of only the desired field by making a news providing server offer the customized multimedia news to a news reader terminal after analyzing a personal profile. CONSTITUTION: A local wireless network(120) connects to the news providing server(100) in the public transportation and the news reader terminal(110). A fast network(150) transfers a news database received from a news providing company(160) to the news providing server. A news storing server(130) stores the news database transmitted through the fast network. A news edition server(140) reedits/reconfigures the news stored in the news storing server. The news providing server transmits the customized news to the news reader terminal of the user through the local wireless network.

본 발명의 대중교통 맞춤형 뉴스 서비스 시스템은 대중교통 수단 내의 뉴스 제공 서버와 뉴스 리더 단말기를 연결시켜 주는 근거리 무선 망; 뉴스 공급 회사로부터 제공받은 뉴스 데이터베이스를 뉴스 저장 서버에 전송하는 고속 네트워크; 상기 고속 네트워크를 통해 전송된 상기 뉴스 데이터베이스를 저장하는 뉴스 저장 서버; 상기 뉴스 저장 서버에 저장된 뉴스를 재편집, 재구성하는 뉴스 편집 서버 및 상기 근거리 무선 망을 통해 상기 사용자의 뉴스 리더 단말기에 개인 맞춤형 뉴스를 전송하는 뉴스 제공 서버로 이루어짐에 기술적 특징이 있다.
따라서, 본 발명의 대중교통 맞춤형 뉴스 서비스 시스템 및 방법은 대중교통 수단을 이용할 때 서비스 사용자들이 기존의 신문이나 책과 같은 인쇄 매체를 구매하는 번거로움을 없앨 수 있고 이동 중에 본인이 원하는 분야의 뉴스만을 신속하고 정확하게 볼 수 있는 효과가 있다.
