Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle data usage apparatus and method thereof are provided to estimate carbon dioxide emission quantity by using TPS(Throttle Position Sensor) information and RPM(Rotation Per Minute) information. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit(110) acquires vehicle data from an OBD(On Board Diagnostics)-II interface. A calculation unit(120) calculates the carbon dioxide emission quantity of a vehicle by substituting the vehicle data for an equation of a vehicle. The equation models a correlation between the vehicle data and the calculated carbon dioxide emission quantity. An output unit(130) provides the carbon dioxide emission quantity calculated from the vehicle data to a user.
