    Abstract: PURPOSE: A channel predictor is provided to add a short training symbol to channel predicting algorithm without changing a frame format of IEEE 802.11a, thereby obtaining a more exact channel prediction value. CONSTITUTION: A signal inserts a short and long training symbol(5) thereinto for receiving an OFDM discrete signal of a time region. A complex divider(1) divides samples corresponding to a long training symbol consisting of total 128 samples for a short training symbol consisting of total 160 samples by the short and long training symbol(5), and obtains 256 result values in total. 64-sample delayers(2) delay the samples by using 256 output samples of the complex divider(1). A 64-sample average obtainer(8) obtains 64 frequency region channel prediction coefficient samples, and obtains channel prediction coefficients having less noise influence while obtaining an average.
