Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic mode switching method of a broadcasting receiving apparatus and a broadcasting receiving apparatus applying the same are provided to reduce recognition time and to extend a range of STB non-use state recognition. Abstract: ＴＶ 전원 상태에 기인한 방송수신장치 자동 모드 전환 방법 및 이를 적용한 방송수신장치가 제공된다. 본 방송수신장치의 자동 모드 전환 방법은, 리모컨으로부터 사용자 명령을 수신하는 단계 및 사용자 명령이 방송수신장치에 연결된 장치에 대한 특정 명령으로 판단되면 방송수신장치의 동작모드를 대기모드로 전환시키는 단계를 포함한다. 이에 의해, 미사용 상황 인지 범위가 확대되고, 인지 시간이 단축되어 대기모드 전환속도가 빨라져, 불필요한 전력 소모를 더욱 저감할 수 있게 된다.
