    Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for verifying a front vehicle region by combining various verification techniques. The front vehicle region verification method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of extracting vehicle candidate regions from a current image and analyzing the composition of vehicle candidate regions to verify the actual presence of a vehicle. Accordingly, the method is capable of reducing the detection errors and failures.
