Abstract: 녹화 동작 중 내부전원 공급 제어 방법 및 이를 적용한 방송수신장치가 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 방송수신장치의 전원 제어 방법은, 방송수신장치가 방송 프로그램을 녹화하고, 방송수신장치에 연결된 디스플레이장치가 오프된 것으로 확인되면 방송 프로그램 녹화에 필요 없는 소자들에 전원 공급을 차단한다. 이에 의해, 방송 프로그램 녹화 중에 TV가 오프된 것으로 확인되면 방송 프로그램 녹화와 관련 없는 소자들에 대한 전원을 차단하여, PVR 기능 수행 과정에서 STB에 발생하는 에너지 소모를 획기적으로 줄일 수 있게 된다.

Abstract: Provided are an internal power supply control method while recording and a broadcast reception apparatus using the method. The power control method for a broadcast reception apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention records a broadcast program by the broadcast reception apparatus, and blocks power supply to devices which are not required to record the broadcast program if it is identified that a display device connected to the broadcast reception apparatus is off.
