Abstract: PURPOSE: A design of a new CCK(Complimentary Code Keying) structure by using repetitive differential modulation and phase detection is provided to produce a CCK modulator-demodulator in which the size of hardware is reduced, so as to effectively use the produced CCK modulator-demodulator in a communication circuit, especially in a wireless LAN(Local Area Network). CONSTITUTION: A CCK modulator(300) includes a serial-to-parallel converter(301), differential modulators(302), complementary code generator(303) and a parallel-to-serial converter(304). The serial-to-parallel converter(301) collects received inputs by 8 bits, to deliver 8 bits by one clock at a time. The each differential modulator(302) produces 8 complementary codes with 8 input data. The complementary code generator(303) converts the codes produced in the differential modulators(302) into transmittable types. And the parallel-to-serial converter(304) transmits the generated complementary codes to a receiving party by using DQPSK(Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying). And a CCK demodulator includes a serial-to-parallel converter, phase detectors, a phase-to-information converter and a parallel-to-serial converter.
