Abstract: PURPOSE: A weatherable thermoplastic resin and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to secure weathering ability, shock resistance, heat resistance, exfoliation property, mobility and low gloss property of the resin. CONSTITUTION: A weatherable thermoplastic resin contains 5~35wt% of (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer forming a network shaped dispersing phase, and 65~95wt% of aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl copolymer forming a continuous phase. The (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer is obtained by polymerizing (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester, unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride, and a compound including more than two hydroxyl groups.
