Abstract: PURPOSE: An HpDNAV with Heterocapsa pygmaea-specific lysis function and a composition containing HpDNAV are provided to prevent red tide. CONSTITUTION: A HpDNAV(Heterocapsa pygmaea infecting virus) has specific lysis function to Heterocapsa pygmaea. The deposit number of pDNAV is KCTC11824P. A composition for preventing red tide contains HpDNAV as an active ingredient. The composition is manufactured in the form of directly injectable solution, power, suspension, high-concentrated aqueous or oil or other suspension, dispersion, emulsion, oil dispersion, paste, dust, or granules. The red tide is caused by Heterocapsa pygmaea.
