Abstract: PURPOSE: A pine needle fermentation liquid for improving blood circulation is provided to reduce blood cholesterol content, neutral lipid, and thrombus and treat cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis. CONSTITUTION: A pine needle fermentation liquid for reducing cholesterol with increased phenol compound and thrombus is prepared by storing and fermenting pine needle extract for one to ten years. The phenol compound is 1,8-cineole/eucalyptol, 2-methyl-1-butanol, 3-methyl-1-butanol, 5-isopyrenyl-2-2-methyl-2vinyltetrahydrofuran, bicyclo[2,2,1]heptan-2-ol, camphor, herboxide second isomer, hexanoic acid, ethyl ester, or isocineole. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cardiovascular diseases contains the pine needle fermentation liquid as an active ingredient.
