Abstract: 본 발명은 원고규격 조절스위치 대신에 원고규격 조절용 비휘발성 메모리소자를 구비시켜, 자동원고급지 장치의 노화나, 기구적인 편차에 의해 발생되는 오차를 자동적으로 보정하여 정확한 기준값으로 갱신되도록 하는 자동원고급지 장치(ADF)의 원고규격 자동 보정방법에 관한 것으로, 복사기측 CPU(200)와 제어신호를 주고 받도록 연결된 ADF CPU(100)와, 상기 ADF CPU의 입력단에 각각 연결된 원고규격 검지센서(103), 원고규격 검지기(104) 및 모드선택 스위치(109)와, 상기 제어수단(100)의 출력단에 연렬된 비휘발성 메모리 소자(114)를 구비한 ADF의 원고규격 자동 보정방법으로, 특정 규격용지를 지정된 횟수 만큼 연속하여 반복 급지하면서 그때 그때의 발생 펄스를 각각 카운트하는 제1단계; 상기 제1단계 수행후, 그 평균값을 산출하는 제2단계; 상기의 특정 규격용지에 해당하는 정상 펄스 수와 상기 제2단계에서 산출된 평균값을 비교하여 가감산 하여야 할 보정데이타를 산출하는 제3단계; 및 상기 제3단계에서 산출된 데이타를 상기 비휘발성 메모리 소자에 저장하고 나서, 정상동작 모드로 복귀하는 제4단계를 포함하여 수행되는 원고규격 자동 보정방법을 제공한다.
