Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for displaying and adjusting the image density of an image forming apparatus is provided to miniaturize the size of an operation panel and save the cost by minimizing the number of a density selection key and a flashing unit. CONSTITUTION: If the power of a printer is turned on(301), the operation of a system software is started and an image density display/selection unit is initialized(302). A user inputs a density selection key for adjusting density(304). If the density selection key is not inputted, an LED for indicating an initial density(reference density) is maintained as a turn-on state(303). If the density selection key is inputted, the number of the input of the density selection key is checked(305). If the number of the input of the density selection key is less than 5, three LEDs are turned off according to the number of the input of the density selection key for displaying a density state(306).
