    Abstract: A source-less mortise apparatus having a united deadbolt is provided to extend a lifetime of a battery by minimizing battery consumption by enabling a user to manually open and close the mortise using a handle lever. A source-less mortise apparatus includes an ID authentication unit, a united deadbolt unit(100), a deadbolt housing(102), a sub-latch unit(200), and a time locker unit(220). The ID authentication unit is arranged outside a door, which is connected to a mortise. The united deadbolt unit includes a latch bolt, which is integrated with a deadbolt. The latch bolt is pulled into an inner portion of the mortise, when a user is authenticated. The united deadbolt is mounted on the deadbolt housing. The sub-latch unit restricts a protrusion length of the united deadbolt and generates a close signal for completely closing the united deadbolt unit, when a door is closed. The time locker unit is connected to both ends of the sub-latch unit and performs temporary and permanent locking processes.

    Abstract: A digital mortise lock is provided to enhance user convenience by using an embedded battery in the digital mortise as an emergency power source, when external batteries are discharged. A signal detector(30) controls a mortise. A circuit module(40) includes a charging/discharging circuit unit, a microcomputer circuit unit, and a memory for storing ID information. An input unit(53) is connected to the circuit module and includes a number input unit, an RF(Radio Frequency) card reader, and a terminal unit. An external handle lever reads authentication information and the ID information using a magnetic force. A mortise trim(60) includes first and second mortise covers(61,62) and a retainer(63). The retainer is easily detached from the mortise trim. A motor cam position detector is arranged behind a latch(20) and automatically detects a position of the motor cam(21).
