Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for automatically controlling area enlargement function in PTZ(Pan, Tilt, Zoom) camera is provided to automatically enlarging selected area by calculating variable amount of zoom using extracted specific points from PTZ image and interested image. CONSTITUTION: If an enlargement magnification rate is less than a preset enlargement range, an automatic area enlargement control unit moves a photographing position of the PTZ camera to a moving position(220,226). If the magnification rate exceeds a preset magnification range, the automatic area enlargement control unit moves the photographing position of the PTZ camera to the moving position(222). The automatic area enlargement control unit changes the currently set magnification rate of PTZ camera to the calculated magnification rate.

Abstract: SIFT 알고리즘을이용한 PTZ 카메라의자동영역확대제어장치및 방법을제안한다. PTZ 카메라의자동영역확대제어방법은사용자로부터선택받은관심영역을관심영상으로설정하고, 상기관심영상의특징점들과 PTZ(Pan/Tilt/Zoom) 카메라를통해촬영된영상인 PTZ 영상의특징점들을추출하고, 상기관심영상의특징점들과상기 PTZ 영상의특징점들을이용해서상기 PTZ 카메라의확대배율과상기 PTZ 카메라의이동위치를계산하고, 상기 PTZ 카메라의촬영위치를상기이동위치로이동하고, 상기 PTZ 카메라의현재배율을계산된상기확대배율로변경할수 있다.
