Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for collecting video of an automobile blackbox in real time and, more particularly, to a method for collecting video of an automobile blackbox installed in an automobile which parks and moves, by a central server, in order to monitor the surroundings of a particular area in real time. When the central server transmits a real-time video collecting request message to every automobile blackbox which parks and moves within a mobile communication base station of an area in which real-time video is intended to be collected through the mobile communication base station, each automobile blackbox transmits the current location information to the central server periodically. When the central server selects an automobile blackbox for collecting real-time video among the transmitted automobile blackboxes, a real-time video transmission request message is transmitted to the automobile blackbox and the automobile blackbox transmits video currently being captured in real time to the central server. Thus, the present invention can be utilized for recognizing real-time situation information of a surrounding area such as the scene of an incident or accident, a disaster scene such as flood, landslide, etc., a real-time traffic flow status, a status of surroundings of a downtown area.
