    Abstract: An antenna for a satellite digital multimedia broadcasting terminal using a microstrip antenna is provided to implement miniaturization by integrating a folded type antenna with a c-type antenna. An antenna for a satellite digital multimedia broadcasting terminal using a microstrip antenna includes a folded c-type patch(320) and a printed circuit board(310). An upper flat plate(321) has a groove of a predetermined depth on a central part. A vertical flat plate(322) is vertically extended from the other front end of the upper flat plate(321) to a down direction. A lower flat plate(323) is connected to the vertical flat plate(323) and is extended in parallel with the upper flat plate(321). A first iris(324A,324B) is vertically extended from a front end of the upper flat plate(321) to a down direction. A first folded unit(325A,325B) is extended in parallel with the upper flat plate(321) from an end portion of the first iris(324A,324B) to the inside of the folded c-type patch(320). A second iris(326) is vertically extended from an end portion of the lower flat plate(323) to the upper flat plate(321). A second folding unit(327) is extended from an end portion of the second iris(326) to the inside of the folded c-type patch(320) in parallel with the lower flat plate(323). A microstrip line(328) of an L shape is vertically extended from a central part of the groove and is attached to the printed circuit board(310). The printed circuit board(310) is located between the upper flat plate(321) and the lower flat plate(323), and has a predetermined dielectric constant. The printed circuit board(310) functions as a ground.
