Abstract: PURPOSE: A nitride phosphor, a manufacturing method thereof, and a light emitting device including thereof are provided to effectively change UV rays and blue lights to an orange-red light, and to secure the small particle size and the high surface area and of the phosphor. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a nitride phosphor having the composition of Me_(2-x)R_xSi_5N_8 comprises the following steps: supplying a mixture including a rare earth metal source, alkali earth metal salt, alkali metal azide, and silicon source silicon powder; performing a self-propagating high-temperature synthesis after complexing the mixture in a high pressure reactor; and separating and washing the red nitride phosphor generated from the high-temperature synthesis.
