CONSTITUTION: An oligonucleotide has one base sequence among sequence numbers 22-26. A primer set for detecting Phytophthora siringae contains the nucleotide. A kit for detecting Phytophthora sp. strain contains the primer set and a reagent for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or real-time PCR. A method for detecting Phytophthora sp. strain comprises the step of: isolating genome DNA from diseased plant tissues; performing PCR or real-time PCR using the DNA as a template; and amplifying and quantitating DAN fragments.
