CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating heart diseases contains murrayafoline A of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. A health food for preventing or treating heart diseases contains murrayafoline A of chemical formula 1. The health food is manufactured in the form of dairy products such as drinks, meat, sausage, and noodles; beverages; and supplementary nutritious products including alcoholic drinks and vitamin complex.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing Miliusa balansae-derived chrososplenol C is provided to treat ischemic diseases, myocardial infarction, or heart attack. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating heart diseases contains chrysosplenol C as an active ingredient. The chysosplenol C is isolated and purified by extracting with an organic solvent such as alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, alcohol soluble solution, ethyl acetate, ether, or chloroform. A health food for preventing heart diseases contains chrososphenol C. The health food is manufactured in the form of meat, drinks, sausage, candy, snack, noodles, and ice cream.
