Abstract: PURPOSE: An agent for extending life span of a cut flower is provided to remarkably extend life span of a cut flower without environmental pollution and to save costs for maintenance at low temperature. CONSTITUTION: An agent for extending life span of a cut flower contains 0.8-1.2 parts by weight of aluminum sulfate, 7.5-10 parts by weight of ascorbic acid, 1.5-2.5 parts by weight of magnesium nitrate, and 0.4-0.6 parts by weight of calcium chloride based on 300 parts by weight of sucrose. The cut flower is rose. A method for extending life span of the cut flower comprises: a step of treating the cut flower with the agent; and a step of treating the cut flower at 10-40 deg. C.
