Abstract: 본 발명은 LDL 및 HDL의 산화에 대한 우수한 항산화능을 표시함으로서 동맥경화증의 예방·치료제로 활용될 수 있는 히스티딘 잔기를 함유하는 광범위 항산화 펩타이드에 관한 것으로서, His-Lys 잔기가 N-말단에서 둘째 또는 셋째 위치에 존재하고 Tyr 잔기를 추가로 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광범위 항산화 펩타이드에 관한 것이다.
상기의 항산화 펩타이드는 다양한 산화적 스트레스에 의한 지단백질(LDL/HDL)의 산화에 대한 항산화 활성이 뛰어나므로 산화적 스트레스에 의해 유발되는 동맥경화증과 같은 심혈관계 질환, 대사성 질환 및 기타 노화 등의 산화성 스트레스에 관련된 질환의 예방·치료제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

Abstract: An Apo AI-like peptide is provided to show excellent antioxidative activity against oxidation of lipoprotein(LDL/HDL) caused by various oxidative stresses, thereby being usefully used as a prophylactic or a therapeutic agent of diseases relating to the oxidative stress such as cardiovascular system diseases, metabolic diseases and aging. The Apo AI-like peptide having antioxidative activity against low-density lipoprotein(LDL) comprises an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 3, SEQ ID : NO. 7, SEQ ID : NO. 8, SEQ ID : NO. 10, SEQ ID : NO. 11 or SEQ ID : NO. 12. The Apo AI-like peptide contains His residue located at second or third position of N-terminal, Cys residue located at middle position of the peptide, and Tyr residue located at seventh or eighth position of N-terminal.

Abstract: Broad spectrum antioxidant peptides containing histidine-lysine and tyrosine residues are provided to inhibit oxidation of low-density lipoprotein(LDL) without toxicity, so that they are useful for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases caused by oxidation of low-density lipoprotein such as arteriosclerosis. The antioxidant peptide contains a histidine-lysine residue located at a second or third site from the N-terminal and a tyrosine residue in the C-terminal, wherein the antioxidant peptide contains 4-12 amino acids; and at least one amino acid of the antioxidant peptide amino acids is D-form. A composition for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease or aging disease comprises the antioxidant peptide as an effective ingredient.
