    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a carbon nanotube fiber is provided to enhance the content of the carbon nanotube and to produce a large amount of carbon nanotube fiber with excellent electrical and mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION: A carbon nanotube fiber contains carbon nanotubes or carbonnanotube and polymers. The content of the carbon nanotube is 20-100 wt%. The carbon nanotube fiber is fabricated by thermal treatment of carbon nanotube-polymer composite fibers at 300-800 Deg. C. under inert gas atmosphere, or dipping the composite fiber in water, organic solvent, acidic solution, or alkaline solution. The carbon nanotube is a non-conjugated carbon nanotube or is conjugated with a hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, aliphatic hydrocarbon group, or aromatic hydrocarbon group on the surface. The polymer is a polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer, polyester-based thermoplastic elastomer, ionic polyester, or water soluble polymer.

    Abstract: 본발명은탄소나노튜브섬유및 이의제조방법에관한것으로, 습식방사법에의해탄소나노튜브/고분자복합체섬유를제조하고후공정을통해고분자를순차적으로제거하여탄소나노튜브의함량이매우높은탄소나노튜브복합체섬유및 순수탄소나노튜브로만이루어진탄소나노튜브섬유를포함한다. 본발명의탄소나노튜브제조방법은용매에탄소나노튜브를혼합하여분산처리하는단계; 탄소나노튜브분산용액에고분자를추가적으로혼합하여방사용액을제조하는단계; 탄소나노튜브/고분자용액을응고액에방사하는단계; 및제조된탄소나노튜브/고분자복합체섬유를용매또는열처리분위기에서고분자를순차적으로제거시키는단계를포함한다. 본발명에따라제조된탄소나노튜브섬유는종래의습식방사법에의해제조된탄소나노튜브복합체섬유보다탄소나노튜브의함량을크게증가시킬수 있고, 궁극적으로순수탄소나노튜브로만이루어진탄소나노튜브섬유를제조할수 있으며, 전기적, 기계적특성이우수하고대량생산이가능하여상업적측면에서도매우유리하게적용될수 있다.
