Abstract: PURPOSE: A cholestric liquid crystal display is provided to increase a reaction response speed while having excellent light efficiency such nematic liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A cholestric liquid crystal display includes a pair of substrate, a cholestric composition, an electrode, and a polarizer and analyzer. The pair of substrate has a transparency at least one side. The electrode is sanctions a transverse electric field which is parallel on the substrate. The polarizer and analyzer is installed to make a right angle on both sides of the substrate.
