Abstract: 다운링크 채널에서 직교 서브 채널(OSC)들을 사용하는 것과 같이 슬롯들을 재사용하는 무선 송신 방식에서, 파라미터화된, 하이브리드 직교 변조가 사용된다. 하이브리드 직교 변조에서, 심볼 배열은 직교 형태이고, 네 심볼들은 복소 평면에서 단위원 상에 놓인다. I 및 Q 브랜치들의 직교성은 보존된다. 교차 전력 브랜치 비 파라미터(α)가 도입됨으로써 신호의 총 에너지가 두 서브 채널들 사이에 분균등하게 분할되도록 한다. 이 파라미터(α)는 초과 시간으로부터 변화될 수 있다.

Abstract: In a method and a transmitter data is transmitted to two mobile stations sharing the same frequency band and the same timeslot. The data is modulated using a quaternary symbol constellation. Further, the data is transmitted to two mobile stations multiplexed on a shared channel comprising two branches and the transmission power for the transmitted data is set in response to the relative gain of the two branches. Hereby, the total system interference is reduced. The method and transmitter further allows for a cellular radio system individual power control loops for the two sub-channels when the system uses MUROS.
